Ergonomic Assessment Newcastle

Physio-led ergonomic assessments in Newcastle

If you or your staff finish the day with a stiff neck, tight shoulders or a sore lower back, the problem is often the setup, not the person. Ergo Experts provides on-site ergonomic assessments across Newcastle for employers and individuals. Every assessment is carried out by a physiotherapist with 30 years’ experience, more than 20 of them in workplace injury rehabilitation.

I’m based just down the road in Lake Macquarie, not a Sydney provider travelling up for the day. That means quicker bookings, follow-up visits when something needs fine-tuning, and equipment trials at your desk rather than from a catalogue.

Newcastle’s workforce has changed. Alongside traditional industry, there are more law, accounting and financial advice firms than ever. Industrial and mining businesses also employ growing numbers of admin, HR, payroll, engineering and planning staff. More desk-based roles means more desk-related pain and injury.

For Newcastle workplaces, I provide:

  • New-starter assessments, so people are set up properly from day one
  • Proactive team assessments of around 30 minutes per person, from $99 per person (+GST)
  • Individual assessments for staff reporting discomfort or returning from injury
  • Home office assessments for hybrid staff
  • Clear written reports with prioritised recommendations for your WHS records

Individual and home office assessments

If you work from home, or you’re arranging an assessment for yourself, I come to you. I measure you and your workstation, watch how you actually work, and adjust what can be fixed on the spot. I only recommend equipment where it will genuinely help. If a new chair, mouse or monitor arm is worth considering, I carry a range in the van so you can try it at your own desk before spending anything. Individual home office assessments are from $360 (+GST).

Why a physio-led assessment is different

A checklist tells you the monitor is too low. A physiotherapist asks why your neck hurts, and whether the monitor is really the cause. That clinical lens means recommendations are targeted to your body and your symptoms, not an average person. It also means you avoid spending hundreds of dollars on equipment that doesn’t address the actual problem.
