Ergonomic assessment with purpose: why I do what I do

When people hear the words ergonomic assessment or workstation assessment, they often think of checklists and chair heights. But for me, it’s personal.

After decades working as a physiotherapist, I’ve seen too many people suffer from preventable injuries. Neck pain, shoulder tension, back strain, wrist problems — often caused not by trauma, but by simply sitting the wrong way, in the wrong setup, for hours on end.

That’s why I transitioned into ergonomic consulting. I wanted to step in before pain and injury took hold.

I’m based in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Central Coast region, and I travel to homes and offices to help people get their workspaces right — not just compliant, but comfortable. Because when a workstation works with your body instead of against it, the difference is immediate: clearer thinking, better energy, and a whole lot less pain.

An ergonomic assessment isn’t just about ticking boxes. It’s about finding real solutions, tailored to each individual — whether that means adjusting equipment, recommending better products, or rethinking habits. I bring over 30 years of clinical knowledge to each assessment, backed by a deep understanding of anatomy, movement, and injury prevention.

What do I get out of it? Honestly, it’s the moment someone tells me, “I didn’t realise how uncomfortable I was until now,” or “I can work all day without pain for the first time in years”. That’s what drives me.

If you’re located in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie or the Central Coast, and need help creating a safer, more supportive workspace, I’m here to help. I come to you — because fixing the problem where it happens makes all the difference. Call me on 0409512434 or send me an email – I will be happy to help.
